- Shortlist three to five people
From referrals, marketplaces or portfolios. Ask about the last integration that went wrong and how they fixed it.
- Run a small paid test
A written plan for connecting your store to one of your back-office systems. A half-day task like this shows quality and communication.
- Agree scope and milestones
Fixed price per milestone, with acceptance criteria you can check.
- Handover and ownership
Get the code, accounts, docs and a walkthrough before the final payment.
