Hire Cloud Solutions Architect — infrastructure that scales and bills sanely
Cloud bills are where good intentions go to die: the “temporary” oversized instances, the data transfer nobody monitored, the managed services multiplying quietly. And under the billing mess usually sits an architecture mess — systems that can't scale, deploy painfully, or fail opaquely. A cloud solutions architect fixes both: the design and the dollars.
I'm Omer Muneer Qazi, a Solutions Architect & Fractional CTO with 15+ years designing cloud systems across 100+ projects in 6 countries. I architect for scale, automate the operations, and hunt the waste in your cloud spend — usually finding 30–50% savings in the first review. See engagement models or talk cloud.
Cloud architecture that earns its bill
Cloud architecture design
Well-architected systems on AWS (and GCP/Azure where they fit): network topology, compute strategy, data layer design — built for your scale curve, not someone else's.
Cost optimization
Rightsizing, reserved capacity planning, storage lifecycle policies, and the architectural changes that cut bills structurally — not just the dashboard tweaks that save 5%.
CI/CD & deployment automation
Pipelines your team trusts: automated testing, staged rollouts, one-click deploys and rollbacks. Shipping stops being scary and starts being routine.
Observability & incident readiness
Logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting that actually help during incidents — plus runbooks and game days so your team practices failure before it practices on you.
Security & compliance in cloud
IAM done right, network segmentation, encryption standards, and audit-ready configurations. Cloud security is architecture, not a checklist bolted on afterward.
Kubernetes & container strategy
Honest guidance on when containers and orchestration pay off versus when they're expensive complexity — and clean implementations when they do.
From bill shock to boring reliability
A structured engagement with no surprises — you’ll always know what’s happening and what’s next.
Cloud assessment
I review your architecture, your bill, and your deployment pain. You get a written report separating cost waste from design risk, each with fixes and savings estimates.
Architecture blueprint
Target-state design: what changes, in what order, with rollback plans. Infrastructure as code from the start — no click-ops.
Implementation
I build alongside your team or lead the implementation: pipelines, observability, cost controls — with knowledge transfer throughout.
Ongoing optimization
Quarterly architecture and cost reviews keep the system lean as you grow. Cloud estates drift; I keep yours honest.
Why teams hire Omer as cloud architect
Cloud architecture is where theory meets the monthly invoice: 15+ years, 100+ projects, $25M+ in enabled client revenue across 6 countries. I've designed systems that scale from zero to millions of users — with leadership at Phaedra Solutions and engineering with Integriti, Napollo, Nabidios, Nello, and EverestX — and I treat cost as an architectural requirement, not an afterthought.

Frequently asked questions
Our AWS bill keeps growing. Can you actually reduce it?
Almost always, substantially. The first review typically finds 30–50% in waste: oversized resources, forgotten services, missing lifecycle policies, and architectural choices with cheaper alternatives. Structural fixes beat dashboard tweaks.
Should we be on AWS, GCP, or Azure?
It depends on your team, your workload, and your buyers (some enterprises mandate one). I evaluate honestly — including the heretical option that your scale doesn't need Big Cloud complexity yet.
Do we need Kubernetes?
Probably not, and I'll tell you so. Containers yes, orchestration maybe — Kubernetes pays off at real scale and real team size, and it's expensive complexity before that. I design for your actual scale curve.
Can you work with our DevOps engineer / team?
Yes — ideally. I architect and guide while your team implements, leveling them up throughout. The goal is a team that owns its infrastructure confidently, not dependence on me.
How do you approach cloud security?
Least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, encryption everywhere, secrets management, and audit logging — designed in, not bolted on. I also prepare you for the security questionnaires enterprise customers send.
